Events attracting large masses of people can facilitate the rapid spread of COVID-19 virus via drip infection. Therefore, on 11.03.2020, the Government of Hungary ordered a ban on holding indoor events of more than 100 people and outdoor events of more than 500 people, in order to reduce contact numbers.
In addition to this measure, the cancellation or postponement of mass events for a smaller number of people may also be justified, in order to take into account the primary health security of the population. These include conferences, congresses, religious events, group excursions. If it is not possible to cancel or postpone the event, the reorganisation suggestions included in the following articles must be observed!
MEASURES FOR PARICIPANTS
Measures to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus:
- Limit or reduce the number of participants, as far as
- Prohibit the participation of persons with acute respiratory
- Prohibit the presence of persons arriving from the regions with high COVID-19 occurrence
- Prohibit the participation of persons belonging to a high-risk group (the elderly, persons with serious underlying medical conditions, immunocompromised persons or those who receive an immunosuppressive medical treatment).

MEASURES FOR THE VENUE AND THE EVENT
Measures to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus:
- Wherever possible, the event should be held online, e.g.: by video conference
- If the event cannot be held online, it is recommended that you follow the steps below:
- The venue should be ventilated
- Observe general precautions (place out hand disinfectants, observe hand hygiene and cough hygiene rules, provide hand washing and disinfection possibilities, disinfect surfaces, place out handkerchiefs, prefer general greeting forms, avoid close interpersonal interactions).
